Oil Sands Emissions Limit Act (SA 2016, c O-7.5).

The present Act establishes a 100 megatonne limit for greenhouse gas emissions from all oil sands sites, excluding emissions attributable to new upgrades or increased capacity at existing upgrades up to a combined maximum of 10 megatonnes and emissions attributable to the electric energy portion of cogeneration. The Act also provides authority to make regulations to implement the limit. The text consists of 4 sections as follows: Definitions (1); Oil sands greenhouse gas emissions limit (2); Regulations (3); Integration with Climate Change and Emissions Management Act (4).
