These U.S.A. Standards and Regulations are made to control air quality of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands. The prescribe clean air quality standards (Part 3), regulate the issuing of permits to construct or operate a stationary source (Part 4), provide for monitoring of operations, record keeping and reporting (part 5), for sampling and testing (Part 6), regulate the control of fugitive dust (Part 7), and the control of open burning (Part 8), prescribe standards for the performance of new stationary sources (Part 9), provide for the control of particulate emission (Part 10), the design and operation of incinerators (Part 11), the control pf visible emission of particulates for stationary sources (Part 12), the control of odors (Part 13), the control of sulfur dioxides (Part 14), motor vehicle pollution (Part 15), prescribe national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants (Part 16), make rules in respect of emergencies (Part 17), and provide for appeal procedures and some other miscellaneous matters (Part 18).
