This Law provides all necessary standards aimed to offer a complete set of rules and requirements for the protection of air (on the territory of the Brcko District, Federation of BIH) from pollution in order to protect human health, natural wealth and environment from the harmful effects of polluted air. For protection from air pollution caused by radioactive materials, industrial accidents and natural disasters, other Law will be applied. For the protection of air under this Law the following concepts are developed: the protection of air quality in order to avoid, prevent or contrast the harmful effects of air pollution on human health, climate and environment; the control of pollution of air, which stimulates the human activity and other monitoring activities; list of pollution sources; the maintenance of existing current state of air; the improvement of the value of air quality; the process for the protection of the air, as part of a system protecting the environment, with established rights, duties and responsibilities of natural and legal persons; the informing of the local population. The Law is divided onto 7 Chapters and 49 articles, including all offences and related penalties.
