World Water Week, 26th-31st August 2018, Stockholm, Sweden

World Water Week, organised by the Stockholm International Water Institute, will take place on the 26th - 31st August at the Stockholm City Conference Centre.

It will be a focal point to address and develop solutions for the globe’s water related challenges through linking science and policy, developing partnerships across individuals and organisations and highlighting new and innovative research. This year the focus will be on ‘Water, Ecosystems and Human Development’. The week will bring together key stakeholders from the scientific, business, policy and civic communities. This thematic scope will aim to explore systems, development, social, economic and governance perspectives.

The programme will include over 200 sessions, covering a wide array of water related challenges and their impact on the environment, health, climate, economic and poverty reduction agendas. There will also be plenary sessions that will focus on the thematic scope and young professionals’ activities, which will aim to empower and inspire young people, as well as provide a platform for networking. Although INMS will not specifically be involved in this event, the outcomes of the week will be valuable for the project, particularly when seeing how better nitrogen management can feed into addressing and developing solutions for global water challenges.
