Activity 1.2 & 1.4 Workshop on N Threats and Benefits, Ft. Collins, Colorado,

Planning is underway for a joint workshop from September 10-13, 2018 between INMS Activity 1.2 (Threat/Benefit Assessment Methodologies) and INMS Activity 1.4 (Approaches for Threat and Benefit Valuation). The workshop will be held in Fort Collins CO, USA. The goals of the workshop are to build on existing overviews for each region and, at the global scale, to identify threats, benefits, and valuation approaches toward reactive N in the environment and its impacts on human health. Explicit links of these metrics and their methodologies will be made to other Activities and Components of INMS, including consideration of which metrics are needed for evaluation of global and regional models, for future scenario development, and for use at multiple scales of policy and management.

We welcome additional participation in the workshop, but cannot cover any travel expenses. Virtual participation is possible. If you are interested in participating in this workshop, please contact the organizers: Jill Baron (jill.baron@colostate.edu), Hideaki Shibata (shiba@fsc.hokudai.ac.jp), Hans van Grinsven (Hans.vanGrinsven@pbl.nl), and Baojing Gu (bjgu@zju.edu.cn).
